• War

    War

She wakes up early, turns on the lights

Kids up waiting for daddy all night

He’s been drinking, for him the whiskey’s right and the tears are fine

    Oh happiness, it’s a war

The cup is full. The cup is gone.

    But we’re not done.

    He’s surrounded by gold

But with no wife and no children he feels he’s just growing old

He wants to give it all away

But the world keeps saying that if you look alright you’ll feel alright

    Oh happiness, it’s a war

The cup is full. The cup is gone.

    But we’re not done

    No we’re not done

    No we’re not done

    No we’re not done

She’s been thinking, it’s only what you perceive

Cause’ if I see happiness in you then I can find it in me
